Sir Jacob – Ok…Elder Jacob – was one of the many missionaries who guided me along my path to being baptized roughly two years ago. That’s a story for another day, and yes, it took more than one missionary.
Since returning home from his mission, Jacob and I have kept in contact via Facebook. When I noticed he had a new girlie friend – a gorgeous girlie friend I might add! – I was so incredibly happy for him. And I knew I wanted to shoot them!
Unfortunately, I was already booked on the day of their wedding, which, trust me, was super heart breaking. I so desperately wanted to be a part of such a huge life changing event in Sir Jacob’s journey, just as he was for me. So…we made a shoot happen anyway! Janette was amazing and even went out and purchased a second wedding dress to be used for a formal session so Jacob wouldn’t see her actual wedding dress before the big day. My mom and two of my sister-in-laws drove with me through the night out to San Diego, where I saw the Temple there for the first time.
Uh-Maze-Ing.
And, of course, we couldn’t travel to California for a photo sesh and not hit the beach! Am I right?!?
Thank you so, SO much Jacob and Janette for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing time in your lives. I know the two of you will be forever changed, loved, and completed by each other. Eternity will be more than you could ever dream of. Enjoy each other’s company and, no matter how crazy life becomes, always make time for one another. Cherish your love. And your photos.
