This wedding day was a bit hectic, but not because the flowers were wilted (because they were lovely!), or because the cake melted (it totally stood its ground and was also equally as lovely as the flowers), or because the groom forgot his ring (which happens more times than you would think!).  This time around, it was all Mother Nature’s fault.  She played all sorts of rainy games with us this day.  At one point, it dumped so hard that I thought we were going to have to whip out the paddles to get my car down the road!

We sat in our cars while it poured buckets, praying for the rain to let up.  Thank goodness Miss Mother Nature has a big heart.  She took a break long enough for us to squeeze in these lovely formal photos of the gorgeous Wren and her brand new husband, Derek.  the moment we got back into our car, the rain began again, but only lasted a few minutes.  We were super worried about the beautiful back yard reception planned for that night, but everything was absolutely perfect.  The only sprinkles we saw for the rest of the night was during air first dance, which was super romantic!
